Autograph Collection at Pier One Sydney Harbour is seeking a passionate kitchen professional to join our five-star hotel team. Located under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the property offers luxurious rooms and a vibrant waterfront dining scene where you can showcase your culinary talents and grow with Marriott International.

As part of our kitchen team, you will manage operations, support the Head Chef, prepare dishes for guests and events, and contribute to exciting food presentations.

Qualifications

• Trade Industry Qualification or Commercial Cookery Qualification.
• Passion for the hospitality industry.
• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• Working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen operations and ensure compliance with Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
• Estimate daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicate production needs to kitchen personnel daily.
• Assist Head and Sous Chef with all kitchen operations and preparations.
• Prepare and cook dishes, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
• Develop, design and create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
• Assist in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
• Maintain purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
• Train employees in safety procedures.
