Commercial Hotel Aberdeen is looking for a talented Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen. You will assist in menu planning, daily food production, stock control and maintaining high standards of quality.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a similar role, passion for cooking, strong communication and organisation skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced quality restaurant.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Passionate about cooking and detailed knowledge of food and produce.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure in a fast-paced quality restaurant.
• Attention to detail and maintaining a high standard for food.

Responsabilités

• Menu planning within the company budget, based on client demand and market requirements in liaison with the Head Chef and management
• Daily food production of approved menu supervision and participation
• Ordering and managing food supply, food portion control, waste management, and stock procurement (receipt and storage)
• Cost menu items appropriately and track production efficiency
• Keep track of product mix, client demand, and special promotions
• Monitor food supply and kitchen equipment par levels, and notify management of any additional stock required
• Ensure all food is cooked to perfection, served on time, and presented professionally
• Handle equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools effectively and as per requirements
• Manage temperature checks, cleaning charts, and food freshness
• Maintain high kitchen standards in all areas of operation, food hygiene and safety, food quality, and preparation
