Job summary

Novotel Sydney International Airport is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to deliver a memorable guest dining experience. You will act as captain of the pass when required and help keep costs within budget while upholding the brand’s guest-obsessed standards.

You will contribute to menu development, lead kitchen team members, and ensure high-quality plate presentation with a focus on local ingredients and fresh produce.

Qualifications

• Team Leader or Supervisory experience desired.
• Passion for food and local ingredients.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present both a la carte and casual 'all day' dining menu items.
• Use creativity to bring innovation to the team.
• Assist Sous and Executive Chefs in menu creation and execution.
• Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef by appropriate delegation of tasks to ensure a smooth service.
• Assist with ordering and rotation of stock and liaising with front line team regarding menu changes.
• Be an illustrious and respected leader to the kitchen team.
• Understand and follow food safety procedures.
