Job summary

Elements of Byron is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead the dinner service for our luxury resort guests. You will head a passionate kitchen team, champion woodfire and grill cooking, and build relationships with local suppliers to deliver exceptional, produce-driven menus.

The role calls for a hands-on leader with a strong commercial sense and a deep passion for premium hospitality in Byron Bay. Applicants must have permanent work rights in Australia and availability across weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in premium restaurants, luxury hotels or resorts.
• Passion for fire, grill and ingredient-led cooking.
• Strong understanding of local, seasonal and sustainable produce.
• Creative chef with hands-on leadership and sharp commercial acumen.
• Full availability including weekends and public holidays.
• Relevant commercial cookery qualifications, min Cert III.

We have a rare opportunity available for a Chef de Cuisine to manage the dinner service for our resort guests.

Our resort features beautifully designed one and two-bedroom villas, diverse dining options, and world-class facilities that embody the best of Byron Bay. We take pride in offering barefoot luxury, ensuring unforgettable moments for both guests and staff in our stunning coastal paradise.

We're seeking an exceptional Chef de Cuisine to lead our team and drive the next evolution of Azure's dining experience.This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a premium restaurant within one of Australia's most celebrated luxury resorts.

You will lead and inspire a passionate, high performing kitchen brigade and champion a produce-driven menu centred around woodfire and grill cooking. You will build strong relationships with local farmers, growers, fishers and suppliers whilst delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and guest experiences.You will drive culinary innovation while maintaining strong commercial performance.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have at least 2 years’ experience working in a large 5-star luxury restaurant serving breakfast buffet at a Chef de Cuisine level.
