Job summary

dnata catering & retail in Perth is seeking a full-time Chef (Asian Cuisine) to deliver high-quality inflight meals for leading airlines. You will prepare traditional Asian dishes, work in a fast-paced kitchen, and ensure HACCP-compliant quality checks while coordinating the team to meet production schedules.

The role requires Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, experience with Asian cuisines, ability to pass background checks, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Australian Chef Skill Assessment) required.
• Experience in modern and traditional styles of Japanese, Malay, Chinese, Thai or Singaporean cuisine highly regarded.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks (National Police Check and medical assessment).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen and follow specifications precisely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and standards.
• Shifts including weekends and public holidays; ability to stand for long periods.
• Food hygiene and HACCP knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and production of traditional Asian style cuisines for Economy, Business class and First class passengers.
• Working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Conducting quality checks and upholding food safety, safety, and hygiene policies, including HACCP.
• Coordinating catering staff and other team members to deliver to production schedules.
• Demonstrating basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

Join our Perth team as a full-time Chef (Asian Cuisine) and play a key role in delivering an exceptional in-flight dining experience for some of the world’s leading 5-star airlines. Key responsibilities include:

About You
