Job summary

BlueCare Toowoomba Aged Care Facility is seeking a Chef to prepare, cook and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs and food safety standards are met. You will assist with menu design and maintain high service quality using SOPs.

The role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday with weekend work as required, based in Toowoomba. Competitive remuneration, super and Not-for-Profit salary packaging benefits apply.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant trade qualification CertificateIII in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or above.
  • Have 3 years minimum experience as a qualified Chef.
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards.
  • Have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery.
  • Have a clear understanding of WHS.

Employment Term: Full time position - Monday to Friday (between 8am and 5pm). Must be available to work weekends when required.

Remuneration: $31.44 per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for a Chef or highly experienced Cook aiming to restore their work life balance and gain employment in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries with the following tasks:

  • Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.

Role requirements:

  • Be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation and demonstrate the following:
