Job summary

Eurest is recruiting a Breakfast Cook to manage the hotel breakfast buffet, ensuring high-quality presentation and service from 6:30am to 10:00am. You will champion nutrition awareness, allergy controls and cost management through portion control and waste reduction.

The role requires Chef’s Trade Qualifications and experience in a fast-paced hotel kitchen, with emphasis on food safety, OHS and HACCP. On-site parking and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Buffet experience in a hotel is desirable.
• Knowledge of OHS, Food Safety & HACCP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist and oversee breakfast buffet preparation, cooking and presentation to a high standard.
• Breakfast service from 6:30am to 10:00am.

• $33.76 Per Hour + 12% Super + Penalty Rates
• Shift: across Monday to Sunday from 5.00am-11.30am

THE POSITION

• Assisting and oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of the breakfast buffet offer within the hotel, is delivered to an exceptional standard across our menus and daily specials
• Breakfast service times 6.30am-10.00am
• Actively maintain a complete awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating
• Championing the significance of allergy awareness and ensuring controls are adhered to
• Influencing food costs via portion control, waste minimisation & stock control
• Ensure the safe production of a high-quality product without comprise to the food safety guidelines provided

THE PERSON

• Chef’s Trade Qualifications
• Experience within a high volume and fast paced environment
• Buffet experience within a hotel is desirable
• A comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen operations and exciting latest food trends
• Strong attention to detail, and ability to communicate to juniors & senior members of staff
• An applied knowledge and passion for understanding OHS, Food Safety & HACCP regulations
