South Cali Cantina in Albury, NSW seeks an experienced Chef for a permanent, full-time role. You will develop seasonal menus, monitor meal design, ensure timely kitchen operations, and support junior staff.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of chef experience, holds a Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent), and is versed in OH&S, food handling, and RSA certificates. Salary range: AUD 75,000–85,000 per year.

Job Description

South Cali Cantina is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Chef. The successful candidate will need to:

• Develop menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
• Monitor the preparation and planning of meal designs.
• Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
• Resolve customer problems and concerns.
• Monitor and record inventory, as well as food and kitchen staff costs, and if necessary, order new supplies.
• Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
• Train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
• Help create schedules for kitchen employees and report to management on their performance.
• Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.

Skills & Attributes:

• Prefers 3 years-experience as a Chef
• Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• OH&S awareness
• Food Handling and RSA certificates required

Salary range is $75,000-$85,000 per annum commensurate with experience. 1 Full-time Position available Applications open 28 October 2026 and closes 28 November 2026.
