Job summary

Bidfood is seeking reliable Process Operators for our cheese production team at the Yatala branch. You will report to the Production Manager and work as part of a team to meet daily output, quality and food safety requirements.

Two arrangements are available: part-time school-hours (9:00am–3:00pm, Mon–Fri) and full-time afternoon shift (38 hours over four days). The role operates in a refrigerated environment below 5°C.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a cold production environment below 5°C.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and undertaking repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Previous food manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor and safely operate cheese processing and packing lines.
• Operate production equipment and monitor product quality, weights and packaging integrity.
• Pack, seal, label and palletise finished cheese products accurately.
• Prepare, handle and move ingredients, packaging and raw materials in accordance with procedures.
• Follow production schedules, work instructions and traceability requirements.
• Complete product changeovers, routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
• Comply with food safety, allergen control, hygiene, quality and workplace safety requirements.

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Process Operators to join our cheese production team at our Yatala branch.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work as part of a production team to meet daily output, quality and food safety requirements.

Two working arrangements are available:

Part-time, school-hours shift (9:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday);

Full-time afternoon shift (38 hours over four days per week). Exact afternoon shift times and roster days will be confirmed during recruitment.

This is a hands-on role in a refrigerated cheese production facility, with working temperatures below 5°C. Applicants must be comfortable working for extended periods in a cold environment while wearing required protective clothing and following hygiene and safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail, with a reliable, methodical approach to work and personal hygiene.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and undertaking repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Previous food manufacturing experience is desirable
• forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.
