Floridia Cheese is an Australian family-owned business with 70+ years of experience, seeking a Process Worker / Machine Operator in Melbourne. Full-time roles with shifts from 6am–6pm, weekend work, and overtime opportunities are available.

No cheese-making experience is required; you will join a hardworking, supportive team and contribute to a positive work environment. Key tasks include operating and monitoring production and packaging machinery, preparing materials, packing and labelling

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, positive, and eager to learn.
• Good communication, literacy, and attention to detail.
• Show initiative and willingness to improve processes.
• Team player who helps others.
• Understanding of food safety, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Physically fit for fast-paced, wet/cold/warm environments.
• Flexible to varying hours and overtime.
• Experience in food manufacturing or operating machinery is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production and packaging machinery.
• Prepare materials and get equipment ready for production.
• Assist cheese production through packing and labelling.
• Check products and complete production records.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and hygienic, including CIP where required.
• Follow food safety, quality and workplace safety procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to keep production running smoothly.

Full-Time, shifts available between the operating hours between 6am-6pm.

Weekend work and overtime opportunities are also available.

• Helping our delicious cheese products make their way through production, packing and labelling.
• Checking products and completing production records.
• Keeping equipment and work areas clean and hygienic, including CIP cleaning where required.
• Following food safety, quality and workplace safety procedures.
• Working alongside a great team to keep production running smoothly.
