Job summary

Invenio is seeking an experienced Design and Release Engineer (Chassis Frames) to join Ford’s Product Development team in Geelong. You will manage design and release across programs, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to hit time and cost targets.

You will ensure prototype builds and final production release, while leading APQP activities and ensuring robust design across interfaces and systems. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry experience.
• Experience with CAE software codes (Abaqus, Nastran, Hyperworks, Ansa).
• Willingness to travel internationally for supplier visits and launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and release of chassis frames across multiple programs to meet GPDS requirements.
• Ensure robust delivery from concept through to prototype builds and final production release.
• Own the PD elements of the APQP process and coordinate with suppliers, plants and sites.
• Deliver design compatibility between interfacing systems and manage design reviews with cross-functional teams.
