Job summary

Hudson AU is seeking an ICT Capability and Adoption Lead for an initial contract in Brisbane. The role focuses on driving ICT capability uplift and adoption by delivering training, change communications and engagement activities.

The successful candidate will create training guides, process maps, communication packs and digital content to translate ICT changes into user-friendly artefacts for schools and educators.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Change Analyst/Training roles, preferably in government settings.
• Strong organisational, time-management and prioritisation abilities.
• Proven experience managing large transformational programs affecting people, processes and technology.
• Experience engaging vendors and senior stakeholders to influence outcomes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with ability to produce briefings, reports and senior-level docs.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to navigate ambiguity and propose practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of ICT training, communications and engagement activities.
• Translate ICT changes into practical artefacts such as guides, maps, packs and digital content.
• Support stakeholder engagement and collaborate with the Change Manager and internal communications teams.
• Deliver targeted campaigns and maintain channels to promote awareness and sustained adoption of ICT systems.

• Initial contract until 30/06/2027 with possible extension paying from $102/hr
• Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week
• Experienced Change Analyst/Trainer required ideally within a QLD Government environment

Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking an ICT Capability and Adoption Lead for an initial contract until 30/06/2027.

This role sits within the Information Governance and Digital Enablement (IGDE) directorate, reporting to the Director and working closely with program resources from the Information Governance and Technology Improvement Program.

The role plays a critical part in driving ICT capability uplift and adoption by leading the development and delivery of training, communication and engagement activities. It is responsible for translating ICT changes into practical, user-focused artefacts such as training guides, process maps, communication packs and digital content.

The role also supports stakeholder engagement and works collaboratively with the program’s Change Manager, and ISD internal communications teams to deliver targeted campaigns and maintain communication channels that promote awareness, readiness and sustained adoption of ICT systems and processes.

Sills and experience required:

• Substantial experience (5+ years) in similar roles (Change Analyst and Training), ideally within the Queensland Government.
• High-level organisational, self-management, and time management skills, particularly in handling conflicting and multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated experience managing large transformational programs of work with significant impacts across people, processes, and technology.
• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, including successful engagement and influence of vendors and senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high quality briefings, reports, presentations, and senior-level documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify issues early, and propose practical solutions.

Highly Desirable

• Experience working in digital transformation, ICT, information governance, or organisational change environments.
• Experience working within fast-paced delivery environments or supporting multi stream programs.
• Prosci Change Management certification or similar recognised change management qualification.
