Qualifications

  • Experience supporting organisational change initiatives within government or complex transformation environments.
  • Experience conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis and business readiness activities.
  • Experience developing communications, training materials and change management artefacts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of organisational change management principles and business readiness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct change impact assessments across people, processes, technology, data and business operations.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, readiness assessments and change registers.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and consultation activities across policy, business, technology and operational teams.
  • Assist with planning and delivering business readiness activities to prepare stakeholders for implementation.
  • Develop communications, training materials, user guides and other change artefacts.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather information, validate impacts and support change planning.
  • Identify change risks, issues and barriers to adoption and contribute to mitigation strategies.
  • Support implementation activities including pilot activities, deployment readiness and transition planning.
  • Monitor stakeholder readiness, adoption outcomes and implementation progress.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to strengthen change practices.

We are currently seeking an experienced Change Analyst to join a nationally significant Federal Government program.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile program, working alongside policy, business, technology and operational teams to support successful organisational change.

About the Role

As a Change Analyst, you will support the planning, analysis and delivery of change activities across a complex policy and technology-enabled transformation program.

Working closely with Change Leads, Business Analysts, delivery teams and business stakeholders, you will help assess change impacts, support stakeholder readiness, develop communications and training materials, and contribute to successful implementation across the program.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how change affects people, processes and technology and is passionate about helping organisations successfully adopt new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

You are an organised and collaborative change practitioner who enjoys working across diverse stakeholder groups and contributing to complex transformation programs.

Ideally, you will bring:

Essential
  • Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change initiatives within government or complex transformation environments.
  • Experience conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis and business readiness activities.
  • Experience developing communications, training materials and change management artefacts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of organisational change management principles and business readiness activities.
Desirable
  • Experience supporting large ICT, digital or business transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of recognised change management methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR or equivalent.
  • Experience working within Agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting implementation, training and transition activities.
  • Experience within the Australian Public Service or other highly regulated environments.
