Richard Lloyd Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer for a growth-focused property developer based in Sydney's CBD. You will lead the finance function, mentor three staff, and partner with the CEO on strategic decisions.

This senior role demands strong technical accounting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting and taxation expertise, with a focus on profitability across multiple developments. The role requires a five-day in-office schedule in the CBD.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with willingness to roll up sleeves.
• Proven experience leading a small finance team.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and taxation knowledge.
• Property development industry experience is a prerequisite.
• Experience with project budgeting, cash flow forecasting and feasibility analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, including reporting, compliance, audit, tax and treasury.
• Provide commercial advice and partner with CEO on decision making.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecast cash flow across developments.
• Deliver analysis and reporting to support investment decisions and profitability.
• Oversee group reporting and taxation obligations; manage relationships with banks and advisers.
• Mentor and develop a small finance team.
