Job summary

Rise & Shine Kindergarten invites motivated individuals to start a Certificate III Trainee program across Marrickville and Summer Hill. You will learn from experienced educators and gain hands-on experience while studying toward your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.

This full-time trainee role offers mentoring, practical support, and opportunities to advance within our family-run network of NSW centres.

Qualifications

• Valid Working with Children Check is required.
• Availability to work full time.
• National child safety training (Gecko) completed.
• No prior experience required – positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development alongside experienced educators.
• Contribute to safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
• Assist with daily routines, play-based learning and interactions.
• Study toward your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education while gaining hands-on experience.

About the Role

• Certificate III positions available across our Marrickville and Summer Hill Centres
• Begin your career in Early Childhood Education as a valued trainee
• Work alongside experienced educators to support children’s learning and development
• Learn how to create safe, engaging, and inclusive environments
• Contribute to daily routines, play experiences, and meaningful interactions with children
• Study towards your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education while gaining hands-on experience
• Receive mentoring, coaching, and ongoing support from leaders and peers
• Potential to receive Australian Apprentice Training Support Payment of up to $2,500

• Strong communicator who values teamwork and collaboration
• Able to follow directions, safety procedures, and centre guidelines
• School leavers are strongly encouraged to apply!
• Must be 18 years old to apply
• Have no prior experience working in early childhood sector
