Job summary

The Y Canberra Region’s Strathnairn Early Learning Centre is recruiting an educator with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You will join a supportive team committed to helping children learn through play, safety, and inclusive practices.

We value continuous learning and offer paid onboarding, access to safeguarding training, and staff benefits. Availability is 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, full-time (76 hours per fortnight).

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACEQCA-approved) mandatory.
• Availability 7:00–18:00, Mon–Fri, full-time (76 hours per fortnight).
• Current Paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration mandatory.
• Food Safe certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of Y Mandatory Internal Training and online modules.
• Geccko Foundations of Child Safety Training 1 & 2, or willingness to obtain.
• Geccko Advanced Child Safety Training 3 & 4, or willingness to obtain.
• ACT Government Keeping Children and Young People Safe training, or willingness to obtain.

What You’ll Bring:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Availability between 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday on a full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight).
