Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a Centre Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer experience at our facility. You will be responsible for operational, financial and program deliverables, and for the team and local community.

This is a year‑round position with opportunities to shape the service proposition. You will drive budgeted targets, maintain council partnerships, and foster a high-performance, community-minded culture through visible leadership, while ensuring staff are

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a leisure or aquatic facility.
• Strong communication with ability to influence and negotiate.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Experience in planning and executing operational, financial and people plans.
• Demonstrated leadership with community-focused approach.
• Valid National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Legal right to work in Australia and CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Pool Lifeguard and Pool Operations certificates are preferred.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Centre Manager to lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experience at our facility. Responsible for the management of this fantastic facility, the team at the Centre and our local community, you are fully accountable for the Centre’s operational, financial and program deliverables. This is a year round position.

Key Accountabilities

• Achievement of budgeted performance targets.
• Maintain a high value relationship with our council partner.
• Implement a high value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base.
• Lead and drive a high performance community minded culture through highly visible and hands‑on leadership and team engagement.
• Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
• Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Amin 5 years leadershipexperience in a similar leisure or aquatic facility
• Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win‑win outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Legal working rights in Australia
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
• Great understanding of local government and processes
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
