Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a Centre Manager for the Dayboro facility. You will lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experience, manage operations, finances, and community engagement, and be fully accountable for the centre's performance on a year-round basis.

You will drive budgeted targets, maintain council partnerships, and foster a high-performing, safety-conscious team environment. Relevant police checks and certifications are mandatory, with a strong emphasis on community safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a similar leisure or aquatic facility.
• Excellent communication with positive influencing and negotiation skills.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Experience in planning and executing operational, financial and people plans.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check required.
• Legal working rights in Australia and current CPR + First Aid certificates required.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Centre Manager to lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experience at our facility. Responsible for the management of this fantastic facility, the team at the Centre and our local community, you are fully accountable for the Centre’s operational, financial and program deliverables. This is a year round position.

Key Accountabilities

• Achievement of budgeted performance targets.
• Maintain a high value relationship with our council partner.
• Implement a high value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base.
• Lead and drive a high performance community minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
• Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
• Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Amin 5 years leadershipexperience in a similar leisure or aquatic facility
• Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Legal working rights in Australia
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)

Desirable:

• Great understanding of local government and processes
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
