Job summary

Ballarat North Early Learning Centre in Ballarat, VIC is seeking an experienced Centre Cook to prepare fresh and wholesome meals for children aged 6 months to 6 years in our purpose-built, fully equipped kitchen.

The role is permanent part-time, Monday to Friday, 6:30am–2:30pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. You will create weekly menus and ensure a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking nutritious meals for children.

At Ballarat North Early Learning Centre, we are passionate about giving children the best possible start in life. We are seeking an experienced Centre Cook who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children in our purpose built and fully equipped kitchen.

This is rolewill be working Monday to Friday from 6.30am - 2.30pm, commencing on Monday the 14th of September. The role is permanent part time, working 37.5 hours per week.

The successful applicant will:

• Have experience and passion for cooking and presenting a wide variety of nutritious foods that are suitable for children aged 6 monthsto 6 years;
• Experience designing and planning menus that include a variety of fresh produce and variability;
• Be reliable, positive and a well organised person;
• Have good time management skills; and
• Enjoy working with families, colleagues and children.

You will be responsible for:

• Creating a weekly Menu and providing all the meals for all the children at the centre; and
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements.
