Job summary

NSW Health's Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a Haematology Clinical Trial Coordinator to support delivery of clinical trials across haematological conditions. The role coordinates activities from start-up to close-out, liaising with investigators, sponsors, patients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure trials are conducted safely and in accordance with GCP.

You will hold current AHPRA registration as an RN and possess qualifications in clinical trials or demonstrated experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical research, trial coordination, haematology, oncology, nursing, or related healthcare discipline.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Australian work rights to be eligible for NSW Health roles.
  • AHPRA RN registration held and up to date.
  • Familiarity with ICH-GCP principles for clinical trials.
  • Knowledge of venepuncture, IV administration, and ECG is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating day-to-day clinical trial activities and study documentation.
  • Supporting patient screening, recruitment, consent and follow-up.
  • Liaising with investigators, sponsors, CROs and laboratory services.
  • Maintaining accurate regulatory documentation and trial records.
  • Monitoring study timelines, data quality and protocol compliance.
  • Assisting with ethics and governance submissions.
  • Supporting audits, monitoring visits and study close-out activities.

Haematology Clinical Trial Coordinator

Join our clinical research team and help shape the future of haematology care.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Haematology Clinical Trial Coordinator to support the delivery of clinical trials across a range of haematological conditions.

In this role, you will coordinate clinical trial activities from study start-up through to close-out, working closely with investigators, research nurses, sponsors, patients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure studies are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with GCP and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating day-to-day clinical trial activities and study documentation
  • Supporting patient screening, recruitment, consent, and follow-up
  • Liaising with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and laboratory services
  • Maintaining accurate clinical trial records and regulatory documentation
  • Monitoring study timelines, data quality, and protocol compliance
  • Assisting with ethics and governance submissions

About you

We are looking for someone with experience in clinical research, trial coordination, haematology, oncology, nursing, or a related healthcare discipline. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a strong commitment to patient safety and research quality.

You will bring a strong commitment to high-quality community care and a passion for helping people. You will have:

Current AHPRA registration as an Registered Nurse (Division 1).

Relevant qualifications in clinical trials/data management OR demonstrated education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.

Demonstrated and/or understanding of ICH- GCP principles for the conduct of Clinical Trials.

Demonstrated knowledghe and epxerience in Venepuncture, IV drug administration &/or ECG skills
