Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) invites applications for a Clinical Trials Coordinator - Haematology at Nepean Hospital. The role focuses on delivering and coordinating clinical trials, ensuring patient safety and data integrity within a multidisciplinary team.

You will manage trial activities, support recruitment and informed consent, and liaise with sponsors and researchers while upholding GCP standards and NBMLHD policies.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in clinical trials or data management.
• Demonstrated experience within clinical trials research with a sound understanding of ICH GCP.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work to a research protocol.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team setting and autonomously.
• Experience with computer skills including use of electronic database systems.
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work effectively in a changing environment with competing priorities and demands.

Are you passionate about clinical research and improving patient outcomes? We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in the delivery and coordination of clinical trials. The Clinical Trials Coordinator is responsible for managing the portfolio and coordination of Haematology Clinical Trials, ensuring the safety and protection of trial participants and maintaining the integrity and quality of trial data collected. Working within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to the successful delivery of research studies that support advances in patient care and treatment.

In this role, you will ensure compliance with Clinical Trial Unit organisational policies, Good Clinical Practice guidelines and research standard operating procedures. You will assist with the coordination of clinical trials involving patients and be actively involved in participant recruitment, informed consent processes, and the education of patients regarding the procedural and practical aspects of clinical trial participation.

You will act as a key resource for medical staff and departments involved in the care of clinical trial participants, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the research process. The position also requires close collaboration with external stakeholders, including study sponsors, collaborative research groups and clinical trial monitors, to facilitate the effective conduct and management of clinical studies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex healthcare environment. Experience in clinical research, patient-facing healthcare roles, or clinical trial coordination will be highly regarded.
