Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Primary in Prahran East invites applications for a full-time Classroom Teacher to commence January 2027. The role requires a commitment to Catholic education, student safety, and data-informed teaching within the Victorian Curriculum.

The successful candidate will be accredited to teach Religious Education (or willing to pursue accreditation), maintain a strong student-centred learning environment, and contribute to MACS strategies and school improvement.

Qualifications

Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration is required.
Accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (willing to study for accreditation).
Commitment to use and analysis of data to inform teaching.
Understanding of differentiated and personalised learning.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with curriculum policies.
Be well versed in contemporary teaching pedagogies and proficient in data analysis to inform teaching.
Provide students with a rich educational experience and collaborate in a collegial, team-based approach.
Be up to date with MACS 2030 strategy and MACS Vision for Engagement.
Differentiate learning to meet educational needs and develop effective assessment practices and teaching programs.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and effective learning pedagogies.
Use data to inform teaching and learning and contribute to the School’s Improvement Plan.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of Religious Education and confident use of ICT.
