Job summary

Powerplant Project Services in Australia seeks Corrosion Technicians/Technologists to join our Network Services Team. You will conduct corrosion field audits and surveys, assist in CP system installation, and mentor junior colleagues while liaising with industry bodies on corrosion protection techniques.

The role requires site work and regional travel, with an emphasis on safety, quality and practical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Cathodic Protection field experience is preferred with CP Technician/Technologist qualifications
• Experience with sacrificial anode and impressed current CP systems on buried or immersed structures
• Knowledge of CP procedures, tools and technology for CP systems across assets
• Willingness to travel regionally and interstate within Australia
• Australian working rights and ability to obtain security/police checks
• Holder of a valid Driver's Licence

• Provide sound and timely service to Network Services clients and liaise with technical bodies on corrosion protection techniques
• Conduct corrosion field audits, coating and potential surveys, troubleshooter and install CP systems
• Collect and validate CP data and maintain instrumentation calibration
• Assist with the design, development and installation of CP systems
• Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues
• Set task priorities and allocate work within the position's area of responsibility
• Promote a commitment to safe working practices and accident prevention

Powerplant are looking for Corrosion Technicians/Technologists to job our Network Services Team.

Our Network Services support multiple large critical asset owners with Asset Resilience and Management services.

You will provide sound & timely service to Network Services clients and service providers / contractors and liaise with various technical bodies regarding corrosion protection techniques.

Conduct corrosion field audits, coating and potential surveys, trouble shooting and installation of cathodic protection systems

Collect and validate CP data along with instrumentation maintenance & calibration

Assist with the design, development, and installation of CP systems

Providetraining and mentoring to junior colleagues

Set task priorities and allocate work within the position's area of responsibility

Promote a commitment to safe working practices and accident prevention

Requirements:

Cathodic Protection technical field experience with qualifications from NACE or ACA (CP Technician or Technologist) an advantage

Previous exposure to oil & gas, pipelines, marine and similar assets and infrastructure

Knowledge of the procedures, skills and technology used for sacrificial anode and impressed current cathodic protection systems on a wide range of buried or immersed metallic structures

Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office

Requires regional and interstate travel

Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have equivalent working rights in Australia

Ability to obtain and maintain security and police checks

Hold and maintain a valid Driver's Licence
