Job summary

Calvary Care is seeking a passionate Support Worker - Catering to assist our Chef/ Chef Manager and team in delivering high-quality catering services across the Calvary precinct. You will ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintain hygiene standards, and support meal preparation for residents with attention to dietary requirements.

The role requires a Basic Food Safety Practices certificate, 12 months’ experience in similar settings, and current Australian work rights.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role in residential care, health care or hospitality.
• Current valid Australian work rights.
• Knowledge and experience in safe food handling.
• Desire to join a team in a mission-based organisation.
• Availability to work minimum of 2 shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Support Chef / Chef Manager and peers in delivering a high quality catering service within the home.
• Ensure catering service adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Complete all food safety record forms as per legislation requirements.
• Follow the Food Safety Program at all times.
• Ensure uniforms and protective clothing are worn in the workplace.
• Follow Food Safety Plan to prevent cross-contamination.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages for residents per instructions.
