Job summary

Calvary Capel Sands is seeking a Support Worker - Catering to assist in providing healthy, hearty meals prepared by the Chef. You will report to the Home Manager and support the Chef/Chef Manager and team to deliver high-quality catering to residents.

Role requires current Food Handlers Certificate, NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain, and Covid-19 vaccination including booster. Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of food safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handlers Certificate.
• NDIS Clearance check or willing to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High standards in food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Current Covid-19 vaccinations including booster are mandatory unless assessed exempt.
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others.

Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages meeting individual resident needs including dietary requirements.
• Ensure environmental service standards and resident environment are clean and safe.
• Follow National Food Safety Program and complete food safety records.
• Serve nutritious meals in well-presented manner at appropriate temperatures.
• Prepare trays and trolleys for meal services per Calvary guidelines.
