Job summary

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (RFBI) invites applications for a Catering Officer at Berry Masonic Village. The role focuses on high-quality food service for residents, ensuring meals meet safety and nutrition guidelines, with support to special functions and daily dining operations.

Applicants should have Safe Food Handling qualifications, WHS knowledge, and an understanding of elderly dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Safe Food Handling and Preparation.
• Working knowledge of Food Safety principles.

• Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles.
• Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (RFBI) is a non-for profit organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Position Information:

Reporting the Catering Supervisor, we are seeking an experienced Catering Officer who is focused on the delivery of high-quality food service to join our Berry Masonic Village.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing meals that are compliant with food safety programs and recognised nutritional guidelines.
• Complying with food and safety programs and providing high quality, efficient and effective food service
• Assist in the preparation of meals and catering for special functions.
• Preparing the dining area for meal times and serving food and drinks to our residents
• Maintaining a clean work environment ensuring all cleaning and dishwashing is done in a timely manner
