Job summary

Christian Community Ministries, based at Advancetown on the Gold Coast, is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead our on-site food service across multiple locations. You will manage menu development, ordering, rostering, and the practical aspects of cooking and serving, while ensuring a calm, welcoming guest experience.

The role combines administration with hands-on catering, requires a qualified chef, a current Blue Card, and a valid manual driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Active involvement with a local church and faith-driven approach.
• Qualified chef or equivalent culinary qualification.
• Current Blue Card (working with Children) is required.
• Current Manual Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead catering team across Gold Coast locations and retreat sites.
• Oversee menu development, ordering, rostering and cost control.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Catering Manager to lead our catering team. Based at Advancetown on the Gold Coast and reporting to our Director – People and Culture, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring our food service team at each of our locations (Gold Coast, Lennox Head, Glengarry, Noosa and our expedition programs) as they provide a calm and rewarding experience through varied, visually appealing and healthy meals at a reasonable cost in a clean and pleasant environment. This role combines both the administrative and strategic elements of menu development, ordering and rostering, as well as the practical aspects of food preparation, cooking and serving.

• Outstanding Christian character with a mature faith and a passion for sharing the Gospel with children. An active involvement with a local church would usually be demonstrated
