Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in NSW is seeking casual Catering Assistants to join the Bodington team in Wentworth Falls. You will help deliver nutritious, high quality dining experiences for residents, assisting with meal service and maintaining food safety and hygiene.

Shifts are available 7:00am-2:00pm or 2:30pm-7:30pm, with pay at $33.20 per hour plus Super and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits.

• Experience in hospitality or care environments is beneficial.

About the role

As part of our Catering team, you'll help deliver delicious meals and exceptional dining experiences while ensuring our residents feel supported, respected and cared for. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with meal preparation and resident meal service.
• Providing a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for residents.
• Assisting residents with their dining needs where required.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Working collaboratively with your colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Following workplace health and safety policies and procedures to keep yourself, your colleagues and residents safe.
  Building positive and respectful relationships with residents and their families.

What you'll bring:

We're looking for someone who combines a genuine care for people with a positive, can-do attitude. To be successful, you'll have:

• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is desirable, but not essential.
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to older people.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Good knowledge of food safety, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene practices.
• Warm, empathetic interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• The ability to establish and maintain professional and respectful relationships with residents and their families.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check, or willingness to obtain them.
