Job summary

Cater Care seeks a Catering Assistant to work at Vimiera Village, Marsfield, NSW. Shift: Monday to Friday 10:00am–2:00pm, in a friendly team environment within aged care facilities.

You will assist with food preparation, serve meals and snacks to residents, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas. Prior experience in food service or healthcare settings is valued.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food preparation, kitchen assistance, or customer service roles.
• Ability to work in a team and also autonomously; manage priorities.
• High standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and professional conduct.
• Experience in healthcare/aged care sector highly regarded.

Job Description

Roster:

Monday - Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm

What this role involves:

• Assisting with food preparation
• Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
• Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
• Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience in food preparation, kitchen assistance, or customer service roles.
• Strong teamwork skills alongside the ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
• High standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and professional conduct.
• Previous experience within the healthcare, aged care, or retirement sector (highly regarded).
