Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd is seeking a General Assistant to support both front of house and back of house operations in a school catering environment. You will perform general kitchen duties, clean and prepare food, and serve meals to students and staff with a friendly, professional demeanor.

The role requires adherence to food hygiene and health and safety procedures, with the opportunity for career progression within the family-run business. 10:00–14:00, term-time only (38 weeks), £12.71/hour.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach and practical cookery skills.
• Understanding of good food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Previous background in kitchens, school meals, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Support front of house and back of house operations.
• Carry out general kitchen duties, including cleaning and preparing food and snacks.
