Job summary

Catholic Healthcare's Catering team at St Annes Hunters Hill is seeking a casual cook/server to deliver high-quality meals and dining service to residents, enhancing quality of life.

You will assist with meal preparation, uphold kitchen hygiene, and work with peers to provide smooth dining experiences while adhering to safety policies. NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain are required by policy.

• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with residents and families.

As a member of the Catering team at St Annes Hunters Hill, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About the Role:

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
