Fresh Hope Communities invites applications for a casual catering assistant/kitchen hand at our Rhodes, NSW office. You will provide a varied and nutritional meals service, assist the chef, and maintain high food-safety standards to enhance residents’ dining experiences.

You will report to the Manager of Residential Services and work with the care, health and hospitality team. The role offers zero hours per week with flexible work options, salary packaging, and birthday leave included.

Competenze

• Written and oral communication skills.
• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent experience.
• HACCP course (or willingness to complete).
• Current National Criminal History Check suitable for aged care (or willingness to obtain).

Your Contribution

As a catering assistant/kitchen hand you will be responsible for enhancing residents’ dining experience by ensuring and maintaining a personalised and customer-focused approach while maintaining food safety practices in line with regulations. You will be reporting to the Manager of Residential Services and working with the care, health and hospitality team.

Your Contribution

• Provide a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting.
• Provide excellent personalised service to our residents.
• Prepare meals and drinks.
• Distribute meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.

• Complete documentation.

The Essentials

• Certificate III in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
• Completion of a HACCP course (or willing to complete)
• Written and oral communication skills.
