Job summary

Morrison is seeking a Catering Assistant to support meals and service in a healthcare environment. The role includes food preparation, sandwich-making, and serving meals across shifts, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The position is permanent part-time, offering opportunities to contribute to resident well-being and dining experiences. Ideal candidates will have strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn within a compassionate care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or aged care sector is highly regarded but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to monitor and improve service quality to meet regulatory standards.
• Experience with electronic data entry into iPads or computers is valued.
• CHC: Hold a current Criminal History Check (past 3 years) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Food and Safety procedures.

Catering Assistant

$27.09 base rate + 12% super + penalty rates + permanent part-time

THE ROLE

• Catering Assistant, Marayong (nearby to Bella Vista and Blacktown)
• Morning shift: 6:15am-2:15am
• Afternoon shift: 2:30-8pm or 3-8pm
• Assist in food preparation and sandwich-making
• Serving breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals
• Following all Food and Safety procedures
• Demonstrate adaptability by taking on various tasks and responsibilities as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas and with equipment
• Maintain stores and monitor stock where needed

THE PERSON

• Experience in the healthcare or aged care sector highly favoured, although not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and improve service quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Previous experience with electronic data entry into iPads or computers is highly regarded
• CHC: Hold a current Criminal History Check (past three years) or be willing to obtain a new one
