Job summary

RSL LifeCare in Dubbo is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to support our residents and visitors. You will work with the catering team and Head Chef to deliver high-quality meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, and ensure residents with special dietary needs are served accurately.

The role emphasises compassionate service, teamwork, and efficient operation in a not-for-profit aged care setting, with opportunities for career progression across our residential and community

About the role:

• Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors,
• Comply with Food Safety Standards,
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas,
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors,
• Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs,
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience.

• Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork.

• Your ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Qualifications in catering and hospitality or related work experience are beneficial but not essential. We can help you learn and develop in the role.

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
