Job summary

Motion Asia Pacific Pty is seeking a commercially driven Category Manager - Industrial Bearings to lead category growth across the APAC region. You will report to the General Manager and develop category strategies that boost sales, margins and market share while collaborating with sales, supply chain, marketing, engineering, customers and suppliers.

You will work to strengthen product offerings, deliver commercial outcomes, and lead product managers and related roles.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial bearings and product category leadership.
• Proven ability to develop and execute category or strategic sales plans.
• Strong supplier relationship and pricing management experience.

• Identify new products, suppliers, customer opportunities and potential acquisition targets.
• Lead and support Product Managers, Assistant Product Managers and Business Development Managers.

About The Role

Motion is seeking a commercially driven and technically capable Category Manager -Industrial Bearings to lead category growth across the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies that grow sales, margins and market share. You will work closely with sales, supply chain, marketing, engineering, customers and suppliers to strengthen product offerings and deliver commercial outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and execute category strategies, sales plans and promotional activities.
• Grow category sales, profit and market share across the APAC region.
• Manage product ranging, pricing, supplier relationships and home-brand growth.
• Partner with sales, supply chain and marketing teams to improve inventory, sales performance and customer outcomes.
• Deliver product training and technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Identify new products, suppliers, customer opportunities and potential acquisition targets.
• Lead and support Product Managers, Assistant Product Managers and Business Development Managers.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated technical expertise within Industrial Bearings
• Ability to undertake domestic and international travel as required, typically on a monthly basis.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience developing category or strategic sales plans.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, product ranges, pricing and category performance.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Confidence managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI; ERP and CRM experience is also valued.
• A safety-focused, collaborative and customer-driven approach.
