Job summary

WesTrac Casula Workshop in Sydney is seeking a skilled technician to join our team delivering CAT machine rebuilds and maintenance to world-class standards. You will own overhauls, diagnostics, repairs and component rebuilds in our workshop, ensuring every machine leaves safe and ready for peak performance.

The role requires an Australian-recognised mechanical trade and experience with CAT or similar equipment, with a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in mechanical maintenance (e.g., Cert III HD Plant) or equivalent.
• Experience rebuilding major components to OEM standards.
• Experience with CAT or similar surface mining gear and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Strip, assess, rebuild and reassemble CAT machines and major components to OEM standards.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics and quality assurance checks throughout the rebuild process.
• Complete workshop maintenance, repairs and rebuild activities in line with production schedules and customer requirements.
