Job summary

Marano's Fuel in Cairns is seeking a fit, flexible Casual Yard Person/Delivery Driver to join our team. The role includes yard maintenance, vehicle washing, parts collection and delivering oils/goods across the Cairns region and nearby areas. Typical Monday to Friday work with hours varying by workload.

Immediate start for reliable applicants. Applicants must hold a current MR or HR license, be physically fit for manual handling, and exhibit a good work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must have a current MR or HR license.
• Need to be physically fit for manual handling.
• Dangerous Goods license is preferable but not essential.
• Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a family business environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organised, clean and safe yard at all times.
• Wash the company’s vehicles and trucks.
• Collect parts and goods from suppliers.
• Deliver oils/goods to Service Station sites and customers across Cairns, Mossman, Tableland and Tully regions.

Job description

Marano's Fuel has an opportunity available for a fit, flexible and reliable person to join our team as a Casual Yard Person/Delivery Driver. The position is Cairns based at the Hartley Street Depot. There may also be a requirement to deliver oils/goods to our Service Station Sites and customers across the Cairns, Mossman, Tableland and Tully Regions. Work will generally be Monday to Friday, with the number of hours worked each day varying depending on the duties and workload for that day. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Current MR or HR License - Essential


• Physical fitness as manual lifting involved with this role

• Dangerous Goods License - preferable
