Job summary

Shellharbour City Council is seeking casual Transfer Station Labourers (Waste) to support the Dunmore Recycling and Waste Disposal Depot, performing general labouring, operating plant and providing customer service on-site.

The ideal candidate will be physically capable, able to recover recyclables, hold a current LF forklift licence, NSW Class C licence and White Card (or able to obtain prior to employment); and commit to WHS standards.

Qualifications

• Be able to recover recyclable materials from disposed items in accordance with procedures and safety requirements.
• Have strong physical capability to perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Have a strong commitment to Work, Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labouring duties at the transfer station.
• Support resource recovery and operate plant and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by directing site users safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and compliant facility while following WHS requirements.
