We have vacancies in our Urban Maintenance team across multiple Walgett Shire locations. Urban Maintenance Workers ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and presentation of Walgett Shire’s urban infrastructure, parks, public spaces, and water and wastewater network. The role is suitable for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on, physical work, and being outdoors.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the roles requires a commitment to providing quality public service and promoting a positive image of Council and the Walgett Shire area to the community and public.
The successful candidate will require a valid Class C driver’s license and a WHS Construction Induction Card (White Card). Tickets in plant operation, chemical safety, chainsaw operation, and first aid will be highly regarded.
