Barwon Traffic Management is seeking Casual Traffic Controllers and TMA Drivers to support ongoing works across Geelong and South-West Victoria. Immediate demand across Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine and surrounding regional areas with opportunities for ongoing work and upskilling.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Traffic Control accreditation (TC1/TMI1 or higher).
• Construction White Card (CPCWHS1001 or equivalent).
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• MR licence (for TMA Driver role).
• Ability to work across Geelong and South-West Victoria with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Implement Traffic Guidance Schemes and manage traffic flow.
• Maintain clear communication to protect workers and the public.
• Operate TMAs and provide protection on live roads.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.

Barwon Traffic Management continues to deliver a strong pipeline of work.

Due to ongoing works across council, civil construction and event projects, we are expanding our workforce and are seeking qualified Traffic Controllers and TMA Drivers for consistent work across Geelong and South-West Victoria.

We have immediate demand across Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Golden Plains, Colac Otway, Queenscliff, Wyndham, the Bellarine Peninsula and surrounding regional areas, with opportunities for ongoing work and upskilling.

About Barwon Traffic Management

Founded in Geelong, Barwon Traffic Management is a locally owned and operated traffic management provider servicing Geelong and the broader South-West region.

We deliver traffic management services to councils, contractors and major infrastructure and event projects, supported by a modern fleet and a strong focus on safety, compliance and reliable service delivery.

As a VicRoads-accredited Traffic Management company, we operate across Road Categories 1, 2 and 3, providing professional, compliant traffic solutions across metropolitan and regional networks.

About the Roles

As a Traffic Controller or TMA Driver with Barwon Traffic Management, you will play a key role in delivering safe, compliant and professional traffic management services in line with approved Traffic Guidance Schemes and company procedures.

Traffic Controllers support the implementation of Traffic Guidance Schemes, manage traffic flows and maintain clear communication to protect workers, road users and the public.

TMA Drivers operate Truck Mounted Attenuators in accordance with approved plans, providing critical protection on live roads and supporting work crews.

Both roles require professionalism, reliability, strong situational awareness and a commitment to safety.

What We’re Looking For
Traffic Controllers

• Current Victorian Traffic Control accreditation (TC1/TMI1 or higher)

• Construction White Card (CPCWHS1001 or equivalent)

• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence

TMA Drivers

• Current Victorian Traffic Control accreditation

• MR licence (essential)

• Experience operating TMAs (preferred; training may be available)

• Strong focus on safety, compliance and following procedures

• Reliable, punctual and professional work ethic

• Ability to remain alert and focused in high-risk environments

• Good communication skills (UHF radio experience preferred)

• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow direction
