Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a Casual Swim Instructor for the Grimwade Club at Grimwade House. You will deliver structured lessons, motivate students and help operate the program in a 25-meter heated indoor pool.

Applicants should hold or be working towards AUSTSWIM or equivalent, with First Aid, CPR and a Working with Children Check. Duties include planning engaging activities and supporting staff at South Yarra campus.

Casual Swim Instructor

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking Swim Instructors for our Grimwade Club program at our co-educational Junior School, Grimwade House.

Grimwade Club provides MGS students with the opportunity to learn how to swim or be part of an extensive Swim Squad program in our 25-meter heated indoor pool facility. As a Swim Instructor, you will encourage and motivate swimmers to develop strong, technically correct swimming skills whilst building their confidence in the water.

This is a casual role, with shifts available Monday to Friday, from 3.20pm to 5.50pm.

This role will see you

• Deliver a structured swimming lesson incorporating positive feedback and encouragement
• Effectively assist in the operation of the swimming lessons, under the direction of the Swim School Coordinator
• Assist in the planning and implementation of a stimulating program, relevant to the developmental needs of all children
• Develop students’ skills within the current framework

The successful candidate will

• Be an enthusiastic Swim instructor
• Holds or working towards current AUSTSWIM or equivalent qualification
• Hold First Aid and CPR certificates
• Hold an Employee Working with Children Check.
