Job summary

Trinity Grammar School Summer Hill in Summer Hill NSW is seeking Athletics Coaches to support a dynamic school sport program. You will coach a range of events (Sprints, Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, Cross Country) for students from Year 3 to Year 12, with after-school sessions typically from 3:15pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We welcome both junior coaches and more experienced coaches who can be matched to the best fit group.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience, preferably in school or junior sport programs.
• Ability to manage groups and run multiple activities.
• Professional and punctual for sessions and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Coach Year 3–12 students across event groups (Sprints, Hurdles, Discus, etc.).
• Lead after-school training sessions from 3:15pm–5pm, Mon–Fri.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student athletic development.

Are you passionate, driven and ready to make a meaningful impact? Trinity Grammar School is seeking enthusiastic and committed Athletics Coaches to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will share knowledge and understanding of athletic specific skills while fostering and developing student appreciation and skill development. Coaching appointments will be made for Primary Programs, as well as Sprints, Hurdles, Middle Distance, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin and Cross Country, coaching a range of students from Year 3 to Year 12. Both Junior Coaches and Coaches with a greater level of experience are encouraged to apply, and successful coaches will be matched to the "best fit" group/s for their coaching skills and specific event group knowledge. Training sessions will generally take place 3:15pm - 5pm from Monday to Friday.

Essential Skills and Requirements...

• A sound coaching background, ideally in a school or junior sports program, or a desire to begin a coaching journey.
• Level 1 Athletics Australia coaching accreditation or willingness to complete this course.
• Demonstrated experience in managing groups, working within a sport of child based activity.
• Professional approach to work – punctual for all coaching sessions and meetings.
• A cover letter and resume, including 2 professional references. If you graduated within the past 2 years, provide a pastoral reference from your school.
• Compliance requirements including: NSW Working with Children number (Employment Status), First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009) and PBTR - Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction certificate.
