Job summary

Rockhampton Girls Grammar School is seeking a Casual Cleaner to maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment for staff and students across classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, offices and common areas. Training is provided and uniforms are supplied, with an immediate start available.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, attendance at training, and a commitment to the school’s high cleanliness standards and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or have the ability to obtain one.
• All applicants will be subject to Rockhampton Girls Grammar School legislative screening procedures and will be required to authorise such checks and provide identification.

Responsibilities

• The Cleaner’s core responsibility, under the direction of the Cleaning Manager and the Facilities and Services Manager, is to ensure a clean, hygienic and safe environment for staff and students across classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, offices and common areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times.
• Attend training and professional development as directed by the School.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and policies relating to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Be aware of emergency/fire procedures and perform designated duties in an emergency.
• Attend Professional Development as required.
• Promote the interests of Rockhampton Girls Grammar School.
• Serve the School diligently and faithfully.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the Cleaning Manager and/or Facilities and Services Manager.
