The Salvation Army in Deer Park, VIC is seeking a casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and create an inspiring in-store experience for staff, customers and the community.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role aligns with the Retail General Industry Award Level 1. Flexible weekend rosters and cross-location work support a varied, community-focused retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills are expected.
• Demonstrated alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration and diversity.
• High energy, hands-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work a rolling roster including weekends.
• Preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.

Responsabilités

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices.
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Display stock in correct departments following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work activities.

About the Role

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual role is based in Deer Park, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Provide exceptional Customer Service
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities

About You

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential
