Job summary

The Thomas Robert Group (TRG) is seeking a Casual Retail Assistant to join our two Newcastle area uniform shops, Newcastle Central and Wallsend. You will deliver a friendly, personalised service to families and students, operate POS systems, and support busy peak periods in the back-to-school window (January to February).

Immediate start preferred; reliability and excellent communication are essential. Prior experience in retail or hospitality is valued, and a Working with Children check is

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality or other customer service focused roles.
• Hold or willing to obtain an Employee Working with Children check.
• Competent with computerised retail POS systems.
• Availability during peak back to school period is a must (15 January - 15 February of each year).
• Immediate start is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a personalised, welcoming and professional uniform service to families and communities of partner schools.
• Work across two uniform shops located in Newcastle Central and Wallsend.
• Assist customers with purchases and operate POS systems during busy periods.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Casual Retail Assistant to join our team, working across two uniform shops located in Newcastle Central and Wallsend.

Requirements are below;

Previous experience in retail, hospitality or other customer service focused roles.

Hold or willing to obtain an Employee Working with Children check.

Have exceptional communication and customer service skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents and students.

You must be competent with computerised retail Point of Sale (POS) systems.

As we are a schoolwear supplier, availability during our peak back to school period is a must (15 January - 15 February of each year).

Immediate start is preferrable.
