Job summary

Narangba Station Medical Centre in Narangba, QLD is seeking a Registered Nurse for casual shifts (3-4 per week) with a pathway to permanent employment as we expand. You will provide high-quality patient care, perform clinical duties, and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team in a supportive clinic environment.

GP clinic experience is preferred but not mandatory; current AHPRA registration and First Aid/CPR are essential, with cannulation training advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• General nursing qualification with competency in medical and surgical care.
• Strong clinical knowledge in patient assessment, care delivery and monitoring.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• First Aid and CPR certification; cannulation training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients and report changes to medical staff.
• Administer medications and treatments with accurate documentation.
• Provide direct care including wound care and cannulations.
• Support activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Communicate with patients and families to coordinate care.
• Maintain patient records in line with regulations.
• Collaborate with doctors to develop care plans.
• Identify and respond to safety concerns and adverse events.
