Duxton Group is seeking a Casual Chef for Birkenhead Tavern, a popular waterfront pub venue overlooking the Port River. You will join a busy kitchen, working with the Head Chef to prepare pub classics and modern Australian dishes, while keeping quality and presentation high.

You'll be part of a friendly kitchen team, with seven-day roster flexibility, nights and weekends. The role focuses on hands-on cooking, collaboration with front-of-house staff and delivering excellent hospitality

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub/restaurant or fast-paced kitchen.
• Passion for quality food and great hospitality.
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Flexible to work across a seven-day roster, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of food-safety and kitchen-hygiene standards.
• Team-first attitude.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook meals to a high and consistent standard.
• Support lunch, dinner, functions and busy periods.
• Follow recipes, portion control and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen.
• Assist with stock rotation and prep lists.
• Collaborate with front-of-house team and bring a positive, hands-on attitude to every shift.
