Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Scrub/Scout roles in our perioperative theatre on a casual basis. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver safe, efficient surgical care and exceptional patient experiences in a modern theatre environment.

You will bring current AHPRA RN registration, at least four years in scrub/scout, and strong teamwork and communication to support multidisciplinary colleagues and maintain high standards of clinical

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum four years’ post-graduate scrub/scout experience.
• Ability to work independently in a perioperative environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines.
• Commitment to patient safety and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert scrub and scout nursing care across a range of surgical procedures.
• Deliver holistic, patient-centred care considering physical and emotional needs.
• Maintain infection control standards, policies and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and perioperative staff to support theatre workflows.
• Contribute to quality improvement and a culture of safety.
• Support a positive team environment aligned with Mater’s values.
