Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced perioperative Registered Nurse for Scrub/Scout roles. Join a collaborative theatre team in a contemporary perioperative environment that supports complex surgical care and professional growth.

The role is a permanent full-time (38 hours per week) or part-time (32 hours per week) position with an hourly salary range of $44.06–$56.52 plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 plus staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum four years’ post-graduate scrub/scout experience in perioperative settings.
• Ability to work independently within the perioperative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert scrub and scout nursing across a variety of surgical procedures.
• Deliver holistic, patient-centred care addressing physical and emotional needs.
• Maintain infection control standards, clinical policies and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and perioperative colleagues to support theatre workflows.
• Contribute to quality improvement and a culture of safety.
