Job summary

Bupa is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our Darlinghurst & Pitt St clinics on a casual or part-time basis. You’ll be the first contact, greet patients, manage bookings and support the care teams with calm, efficient service.

You’ll need GP Medical Reception experience, familiarity with Best Practice, and the ability to cover Monday–Thursday shifts as required. Join us to help patients access connected, compassionate primary care with a trusted national brand.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Reception experience
• Must meet the availability specified for the role
• Casual hours/Part-time availability
• Ability to support both Darlinghurst and Pitt St practices (15 min walk between)

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
• Register new patients and update existing patient information in the clinic's system
• Manage appointment bookings and coordinate with medical staff for consultations, tests, and follow-ups
• Process payments and health insurance claims, maintaining confidentiality
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies
• Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with the practice nursing team
